The main reason why an agreement with a minor is void is that if the child makes a promise to do something and his promise is an important part of the agreement, the contract is considered null and void because the child does not have the right to make the promise of a legal obligation. Any contract with a minor cannot claim a specific function or performance of an act on the part of the minor, since any agreement with a minor is considered null and void from the outset. Under article 68, every person is entitled to reimbursement of the minor`s estate for the needs made available to him or his family. Needs also consist of goods and services. Thus, the agreement of a minor, which amounts to paying needs, can be applied. If a minor has falsely acquired the payment by concealing age, he or she may be forced to reinstate the payment.
